• Harvest at All Saints, 10am. Paul Brookhouse will be speaking. Welcome to Brookfield Primary School Choir. Followed by Harvest Lunch (bring your own picnic) at 12.30pm in the Centre.
• Holy Communion at St John’s, 10am. Clare Owen will be speaking.
• BCP Evening Prayer at St Andrew’s, 4pm. Led by Peter Walley.

Our Love Prayers and Sympathy – to the family of Sybil Wetton. The funeral will be on Monday 28th September at 1.45pm at St John’s, followed by committal at Markeaton Crematorium at 3pm.

Midweek Matinee – Wednesday 30th September at 2pm in the All Saints Centre. Come along to watch Florence – With the help of her husband, Florence Foster Jenkins, a socialite in 1940s New York City, tries to achieve her dream of becoming an opera singer despite having a terrible singing voice. £5 entry which includes theatre snacks.

Our Love Prayers and Sympathy – to the family of Jim Collyer. The celebration of Jim’s life will be at St John’s on Wednesday 30th September at 2pm following on from a family only service at the crematorium.

CTiM Prayer Walk – Thursday 1st October at 10-15am. Meeting at junction of Cavendish Way, and Uttoxeter Road. We will walk for an hour, praying God’s blessing on the people and businesses in the area, and listening to God’s Holy Spirit as we go. Beetle Drive & Themed Quiz! – Saturday 3rd October at 6.30pm at All Saints Centre. Enjoy a fun evening with a quiz and beetle drive. £5 each, light refreshments included. Teams of 4. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, let us know, there will be others that you can make a team with on the day. There is a signup sheet at the back of church.

Messing About with Notes – Sunday 4th October at 2pm at St John’s. Join Toad and Stephen Johns for some organ and piano music and a ‘singalong’, exploring how exactly music works. Entry £6, refreshments will be served.

St John’s Harvest & Lunch – Sunday 11th October we will be celebrating harvest at 10am. At 12.30pm harvest lunch will be served in the hall, £12 per person. There is a signup sheet at the back of the churches if you would like to attend.

St Andrew’s Harvest – Sunday 11th October at 11am. Collecting harvest goods for Derby Food 4 Thought.

Craft & Tabletop Sale – 17th October at St John’s, 10am-1pm. Lots of stalls including a wide range of crafts, books and jigsaws. Refreshments throughout. Free entry.

Joint Christians Together Service – We are all invited to a shared evening service at Mickleover Methodist, Sunday October 18th. This is their usual 6.30pm service but they are welcoming all Mickleover Christians for a time of shared fellowship. It would be good to see as many of us supporting them as are able

Matt Barnes Questionnaire – Following on from Matt Barnes’ talk at the All Saints service, there is a questionnaire at the back of church. Please pray and jot down some notes for the PCC and put it in the box at the back of church. If you missed last week’s service, you can listen to Matt’s talk on our website using the link on the front page of this newsletter and also read his talk in our October Threefold magazine.

St John’s Coffee Rota – There are a few vacancies on the St John’s Sunday coffee rota. If you would like to volunteer to help, please speak to Jenny Rowlands.
