Craft and Tabletop Sale at St John’s – Saturday 17^th October 10am to 1pm. Help to set up on Friday 16^th from 3.30pm would be appreciated. Contributions to the refreshment stall (tray bakes and small cakes), and for the bric-a-brac stall would be welcome. Please deliver to Rest Stop Café, after 3.30pm on Friday or before the start on Saturday. We will also have Jigsaws and a Book stall. Help on the day, especially to reset the hall, link and church at the end of the event, is invaluable. Do invite friends, relatives and neighbours to visit – there are over 20 stalls to browse. Joint Christians Together Service – We are all invited to a shared evening service at Mickleover Methodist, Sunday October 18^th. This is their usual 6.30pm service but they are welcoming all Mickleover Christians for a time of shared fellowship. It would be good to see as many of us supporting them as are able.

Lost Stainless Steel Cake Knife – left in the Link kitchen at St John’s after the Friendship Group on 9^th September. Missing at 9am on 10^th September. If found, please let the office know.

Autumn Harp Ensemble Concert – Friday 23^rd October, 7pm at St John’s. Tickets £10, children free. All proceeds split between Cancer Research and St John’s.

Midweek Matinee: Darkest Hour will be shown on Wednesday 25^th October in All Saints Centre at 2pm. £5 for adults with theatre snacks included. Come along, everyone welcome!

FKC 2026 AGM – Wednesday 28^th October at St John’s at 7.30pm. come and hear the latest news of Champions school in Eldoret and the very exciting updates on how the Vocational Centre is progressing – an up to date video recently received from Kenya of the Schools development will also be shown. For those who support this amazing work in Kenya, this is an event you shouldn’t miss. 

Craft-ernoon – in the Link at St John’s on Sunday 1^st November 2 – 4pm. Create something amazing with felt! Suitable for all abilities. Please bring your own sharp scissors. £5 per person. Places are limited, please bok in advance by contacting 01332 513363 or admin@mickleoveranglicans.org.uk.

Craft, Coffee & Tabletop Sale – Saturday 7^th November in the All Saints Centre from 10am – 3pm. A range of craft and tabletop stalls with a light lunch available in the afternoon. Have you been decluttering? Have you found any bric-a-brac you would be willing to donate to the table raising funds for All Saints Church? Is the answer, yes? Beetle Drive/Quiz Night – Thank you all who joined us last Saturday night! What a lovely evening – super atmosphere! Competitive? – Yes! Fun? – Yes! Quiet? Absolutely not! Thank you to the Socialites – Joyce, Brian, James and Zoe who organised this joyous evening; and also, those who retuned the room to decorum! We all left the building much lighter of spirit… and a few left with prizes!!

Peter & Helen’s Move – Peter and Helen are leaving Mickleover after 14 years. The Acting Bishop of Derby is delighted to announce that the Revd Canon Peter Walley, Vicar of Mickleover and Radbourne, Diocese of Derby, has been appointed Chaplain to the Bishop of Derby in the same diocese. Peter will start in post on Monday 16^th November. Details of a leaving service will be announced shortly.

Milk Bottle Tops – Rock Choir are collecting milk bottle tops in aid of a local hospice. There is a bowl for them in the porch entry at St John’s by the blister pack box.
