Small Fellowship Groups

Faith Matters – Monday – 7.30pm
We are a small group of committed men who meet monthly on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in All Saints Church to study the Bible, discuss topics, share ideas on making faith relevant and pray together. We welcome anyone who wishes to join the group. Please contact us via the church office.

Monday Home Group – 7.30pm
Our aim is to understand more about the relevance of scripture to our daily lives in a friendly social atmosphere. We usually either study a book of the Bible or use published material to follow a theme (eg we’ve looked at Angels, Names for God etc.) Please contact Alun via the church office.

The Bible comes Alive Monday 10am
We meet at the home of Margaret and Michael Huggett on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. We study one of the Readings set for the day, after which we meditate on it, share our reflections, and end with an act of worship. Please contact Michael via the Church office.

Tuesday evenings
The Tuesday bible study group have been meeting as a group for three years.  We meet every two weeks for prayer and to study. Sometimes we study formal material, sometimes we study as part of a wider church initiative such as during Lent. There are currently 13 members from both All Saints and St. John’s.  We meet in the evening at one of the group’s houses.

Vicarage home group – Wednesday, 7.30pm
We are a friendly, informal group who support each other, pray together and study the bible. We aim to meet typically every fortnight.  We have studied the Prayer course, the Pilgrim course covering many areas of discipleship, and more recently the life of Elijah, and the letters to Corinthians and Ephesians.  Some members work and others are retired and we appreciate our diversity as a group.  Our day jobs are in the NHS, schools and colleges, the care and support of refugees and asylum seekers, the wider support of those in Christian ministry and mental health and well-being, so it matters to us that our faith is relevant as we live out our daily lives.
We meet either in the Vicarage garden or in the house. You are very welcome to join us. Please contact us via the church office.

Thursday Groups – 2.30pm and 7.30pm
The Thursday Home Groups are safe places where both new and more mature Christians meet together to study, to deepen faith, to develop fellowship and build  friendships, within a relaxed atmosphere. Please contact Paul, Elaine, Claire or Adrian or the church office.

Prayer Support

Prayer Support Team – This is a group of people who are willing to pray with you after church services. Two people from the team are available to pray with you and you can say as much or as little as you wish being assured of complete confidentiality. For more information see Helen Walley.

Prayer Chain – We have a Prayer Chain at both churches. There are a number of people on the Prayer Chain team. A Prayer Chain card is available at the back of the church. The Prayer Chain provides additional prayer for whatever your concern maybe, it does not have to be for someone who is ill, it can be for anything.

Prayer Chapel – There is a Prayer Chapel in All Saints church for your own personal prayer and contemplation. This is situated to the left of the chancel and is also used for prayer support. Chairs and a kneeler are provided, there are also prayer cards for you to use and take away with you if you wish.

Music

We are currently using music videos for worship in church and online.

Singers and Instrumentalists Needed – We are in need of additional singers to help lead the worship on a Sunday morning. If you would like to give it a try, please contact us. Being part of the Music Group is not a weekly commitment.

Do you play an instrument? – The Worship Group is always happy to welcome new  instrumentalists, we are particularly interested in anyone who plays keyboard. If you would like to give it a try please contact Helen Walley via the church office.
